The isomaltulose is a sugar substitute sweetener.
It has many advantages such as low hygroscopicity, high stability, and tolerance, low calories, pure sweet taste, no undesired aftertaste.
The sweetness being 40% of sucrose, easily soluble in water, can be enzymatically decomposed in the intestine, and easily absorbed and utilized by the body etc.
While used in combination with intense sweeteners, it can cover up their unpleasant aftertaste and flavor. After intake of Isomaltulose, little effect on blood sugar level, thus very applicable to diabetics.
